The Benefits of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)

Honeycomb Wellness Center is an outpatient substance abuse treatment center located in Novato, CA, that provides personalized treatment programs to help patients recover from addiction. One of the treatment options we offer is Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), which is an evidence-based approach to substance abuse treatment.

MAT combines medication, such as buprenorphine or methadone, with therapy and counseling. MAT can be used to treat opioid use disorder, alcohol use disorder, and other substance use disorders. The medication used in MAT can help reduce withdrawal symptoms and cravings, allowing patients to focus on their recovery.

At Honeycomb Wellness Center, our team of experienced and compassionate professionals works closely with each patient to develop a treatment plan that is tailored to their specific needs. We believe that MAT can be an effective option for patients in substance abuse treatment.

MAT is an evidence-based approach to substance abuse treatment that has been shown to be effective in reducing substance use and improving patient outcomes. MAT has been shown to reduce opioid use, reduce overdose deaths, and improve retention in treatment.

MAT can also be combined with other evidence-based therapies, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), to provide comprehensive treatment for substance use disorders.

At Honeycomb Wellness Center, we offer three levels of care: Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), and Outpatient Program (OP). Each level of care is tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient. Our PHP is designed for patients who require more intensive care than the outpatient program. Patients receive treatment five days a week, for six hours a day. This level of care allows patients to receive intensive therapy while still being able to return home at the end of each day. Our IOP is designed for patients who need a more structured treatment program but do not require the level of care provided in the PHP. Patients receive treatment three days a week, for three hours a day. This level of care allows patients to continue with their daily activities while receiving treatment. Our OP is designed for patients who have completed the PHP or IOP and are ready to transition back to their normal lives. Patients receive treatment one day a week, for three hours a day.
